ABOUT

Heather Zappo, owner of Parallel Designworks, attended Dakota County Technical College in Minnesota and graduated with honors, earning an AAS Degree in Interior Design and Sales. Heather started her design career in 1998 and has worked for two renowned local interior design firms and a high-end custom cabinet shop. As a result, she has become very proficient at CAD drafting, space planning, kitchen and bath design, custom cabinetry design, and finish and furnishings selection.

Heather started Parallel Designworks because she noticed a need for CAD drafting and design support services within the residential interior design field. She saw this as an opportunity to provide à la carte services to busy interior designers on an as-needed basis. With strong CAD skills, an impeccable eye for detail, and familiarity with local showrooms and vendors, Heather can provide her clients with experienced and efficient assistance in virtually any aspect of the design process.

As a mother of two grown children and a wife of a supportive husband, Heather likes to spend her free time with family and friends. She enjoys camping in the summer with her husband, designing colorful paper craft projects, or watching suspenseful true crime TV shows. She is an avid learner and is always looking to expand on current skills or to develop new ones.
